We recently introduced various updates to make it easier for your members to access information related to their memberships. This includes a simplified log in page, improved navigation, and new features such as customer initiated membership upgrades.
Easier Log In Access for Your Members
With our latest customer facing updates, your members can access their accounts via a special log in page with benefits including:
- No password required
- Page displays your business name
- URL can include your business name
The above screenshot shows an example of a public facing log in page where members can log in using the email address that is associated with their membership. The name “The Cool Spot” in the screenshot is just an example. This text will display your business name if you share your specific URL with your members.
To get your Custom Login URL go to Submatic Settings > Business > Store Settings and locate the new “Custom Login Identifier” field. Add some text in this field and save. For example if I were to save my Custom Login Identifier as thecoolspot then my members would be able to Log In at https://submatic.io/login?store=thecoolspot.
Improved Navigation
Once a member logs in they will see a landing page with various options on it. Note that the options that appear in your account depend on specific settings in your account. For example, members that have benefits which are tied to bookable services may see a Booking option, whereas for others it will not show.
New Member Facing Options
- Upgrade Membership: If you offer multiple membership tiers and would like to allow members to make changes to their own plan tier, you can do so. Members can now upgrade, change plans, or downgrade directly. To specify what your members can do set the “Customer Upgrade/Downgrade Permission” in your account. Manage this field from Submatic Settings > Business > Store Settings.
When a member makes a change to their plan, that change will be triggered on their next billing date. Refer to this support article for more details on the Upgrade/Downgrade logic in Submatic.
- “View My Benefits”: While it was possible for members to view their benefits previously, doing so was not very easy. We have created a new summarized view that will display all current available credits for products/services. Note that this summary does not include “Unlimited” discounts, but includes all credits that are redeemable on the POS.
We are glad to roll out these updates and continue to think about ways that we can engage customers to help you grow your clubs and engage your members more effectively.
